Change We Can Believe In?

During the campaigning for the 2008 Presidential Election, or as I like to call it The Campaign to Destroy America, Barack Obama promised millions of constituents "change." This promise fell fresh upon the ears of 61% of voters (*) who did not approve of Former President Bush's administration. His push for this "change" caused voters to breathe a sigh of relief. He promised to improve our economy, to overhaul healthcare, to create jobs, to end the war in Iraq, to protect Social Security, to provide the middle-class with tax breaks, and promised to practice the "American tradition of smart diplomacy" (**), blaming Bush's administration for every problem. Let's review how far we've come since January 2009, shall we?

Consider this article from Investor's Business Daily on the $862 billion dollar (failed) stimulus plan here. What it boils down to, is tax payers spent (wasted) HUNDREDS OF BILLIONS OF DOLLARS actually creating very little "stimulus." Where there is stimulus, the money won't been seen for a couple of years. Budgets are being hacked to pieces, companies are booting employees left and right, leaving our unemployment rate well over 9%. Last time I checked, Obama sent another round of troops to Afghanistan. Social Security looks bleak. Taxes are going up. And diplomacy? Didn't he make a statement to the world community apologizing for America? What kind of diplomat bad-mouth's his own country??

Finally, there is the fiasco that is Health-Care reform. As if Americans haven't shouted loudly enough for it's demise, sneaky politicians on the Hill seem to think that with their education and career choice, they know what is best for all Americans. As a matter of fact, I believe Mr. Axelrod made the comment that Americans "don't understand how Congress works;" that we don't understand the intricacies of the bill. However, as one blog reader put it: "Barack, Axelrod, Rahm, Gibby, et al do not know how the American People work. They'll find out in November..." The Democrats are so insistent upon getting this law passed that they are resorting to cheap, unconstitutional tactics. See Slaughter Solution.

So where has this "change" taken us? How about deeper into an economical depression? How about deeper into a national state of despair? How about a deeper distrust of politicians who try to force their agenda down our throats? How about further away from what our founders had in mind? A nation of turmoil? A nation of unease? A nation that is now fed-up.

One last note. Dear Obama, You have been in office for over a year now. It is time to stop blaming Bush for every problem in America and take responsibility for the mess that you are now creating.
That is all.
